This code of conduct outlines how to foster an enjoyable weekend while prioritizing the safety of all individuals.

Respect on the Dance Floor
Exercise consideration for fellow dancers on the dance floor. If you unintentionally bump someone, offer a sincere apology. In the event you cause harm, express genuine remorse. If such incidents occur regularly, consider some of these options;

1. Collaborating with your instructor.
2. Actively seek feedback.
3. Enhance your awareness of others through mindful practice.

Respect personal boundaries. Acknowledge everyone’s right to refuse or ask to stop. Just because someone engages in a certain activity with one person does not imply they are comfortable doing the same with others. This includes close dance holds, weight-supported moves/dips, or flirtatious behavior. If unsure, ask for consent. If asked to stop, do so immediately. Be aware that alcohol and substances may affect judgment, so be mindful of your limits.

Communication and Respect
Communicate respectfully. If declined for a dance, accept the decision graciously. If at any point during a dance you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, communicate with your partner, ask for adjustments, or cease dancing. You are not obliged to finish a song if you feel uneasy. Clearly convey your safety and comfort needs.

Legal and Ethical Behavior
Do not engage in any illegal activities during our event, such as, but not limited to, the use or selling of drugs, providing alcohol to minors, theft, scalping, fraud, and/or anything determined by the event to be unethical.

Hotel Room & Property Usage Guidelines
In order to ensure a positive and respectful environment during our dance event, participants are expected to adhere to the following guidelines regarding the use of hotel rooms:

Respect for Hotel Property:
Treat hotel rooms with care and respect the property of the hotel. Any damages caused by participants will be the responsibility of the individual or group.

Noise Levels:
Keep noise levels at a minimum, especially during late hours. Be considerate of neighboring guests to maintain a peaceful atmosphere.

Room Occupancy Limits:
Adhere to the specified occupancy limits for each hotel room. Exceeding these limits may also result in additional charges or penalties from the hotel.

Guest Policy:
Respect the privacy and security of your roommates. Do not allow additional people access to your hotel room without prior consent from those staying in the room.

Compliance with Hotel Policies:
Familiarize yourself with and adhere to all hotel policies, including those related to smoking, pets, and other specific rules.

Common Areas:
Utilize common areas, such as lounges and meeting spaces, for socializing and group gatherings whenever possible to minimize disturbances in hotel rooms.

Security Measures:
Secure your personal belongings and valuables. The event organizers are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Equal Contribution:
All occupants sharing a hotel room are expected to contribute equally to the total cost of the room, based on the rate initially set by the hotel at the time of booking.

No Unauthorized Surcharges:
It is strictly prohibited to impose additional charges or fees on other occupants beyond the original hotel booking rate. Any attempts to charge higher rates to fellow participants are considered a breach of conduct.

Open Communication:
Full transparency is required! Each roommate must be informed of the full price of the room and what each roommate is paying prior to arrival. Any change in hotel fees/costs MUST be communicated with each roommate and the payments MUST be adjusted accordingly.

One may NOT charge an additional fee for extra hotel amenities associated with room type and/or hotel status.

Any other additional fees must be agreed upon in advance!

Inclusivity and Anti-Harassment
Our community welcomes everyone, irrespective of race, age, dance level, sexual orientation, gender/gender identity, disability, physical appearance, religion, or any other characteristics. Harassment, racism, or threats of any kind are not tolerated. Attendees must respect one another at all times. Any behavior or language causing another person to feel unsafe or uncomfortable is unacceptable and may be considered harassment. Sexual harassment includes unwelcome sexual remarks or advances. Immediately report any such behavior to our staff or through our online reporting form. All reports will be treated seriously, investigated, and kept confidential.

Reporting Harassment
If you experience or witness harassing behavior, report it to a staff member or complete the online reporting form. All reports will be treated seriously, investigated, and kept confidential.

Community Standards
Everyone is expected to adhere to the same standards, including attendees, instructors, judges, performers, volunteers, and staff. Our goal is to create an inclusive community where everyone feels welcome. Your cooperation is crucial in maintaining a safe space for all.

Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in consequences determined by the event organizers and may include warnings, ejection from the event, banning, or other appropriate actions.

Thank you for assisting us in upholding the safety of our community.
